A New Kind of Dual Language Public Charter School Is Coming to Wilmington, NC
Darden-Perry Academy is a proposed tuition-free Dual Language Public Charter School where all students will learn through English and American Sign Language in a schoolwide framework designed to strengthen communication, collaboration, academic growth, and meaningful connections.
Proposed opening: July 2027 with grades K–8, pending charter approval.
Darden-Perry Academy is a proposed public charter school currently seeking authorization from the North Carolina State Board of Education.
